CGTC has an intercollegiate athletics program consisting of men's and women's basketball. The men's program is led by head coach Johnny Simmons and assistant coach Leon Hutchings.

Adult Education Program
Central Georgia Technical College's Adult Education Program (AEP) helps each student acquire the basic skills - writing, computation, speaking, and listening - necessary to compete successfully in today's workplace, to strengthen individual character and family foundations, and to exercise full citizenship.
English Literacy (ESL)
The English Literacy/Civics Program is designed for adults with limited or non-English speaking skills. These classes provide English instruction and additional skills necessary for students to live and work in Georgia. The Adult Education program at Central Georgia Technical College offers various levels of instruction from basic literacy to advanced levels. Help is also offered in obtaining U.S. citizenship.
Quarter to Semester Conversion
The Technical College System of Georgia adopted semester scheduling in August 2011, changing from the quarter system.

The Central Georgia Technical College Foundation coordinates the solicitation of funds, grants, and properties from corporations, government agencies and private sources. The Foundation provides private funding for capital expansion and improvements, equipment, staff and faculty development, scholarships and endowments.
