Sources of Support

Every gift makes a difference. Your support makes it possible for CGTC students to achieve their dreams. Please join our effort to improve the quality of life in our communities by improving the lives of our students. Your financial contribution will fund program enhancements, provide student scholarships and grants, and support building initiatives at all CGTC campuses.

Leadership Alliance/Corporate Giving

The CGTC Leadership Alliance is the annual giving campaign by which businesses in CGTC's seven county service delivery area show their support of CGTC and their commitment to the communities in central Georgia. Internal Annual Fund Drive

2012 Internal Annual Fund Drive

The Foundation's Internal Annual Fund drive will be held from March 1-16, 2012. The fund drive has been completely remodeled for 2012, with new incentives and areas of giving. The Foundation depends on the support of CGTC's faculty and staff so that we may support the mission of CGTC. Through your generosity, we can continue to award student scholarships, fund campus expansion and growth, promote professional development among faculty and staff, support adult education initiatives, and so much more. We cannot be successful without your help, which is why our goal is 100% participation from faculty and staff.

If you have any questions about the Internal Annual Fund Drive, please contact Robbie Parks at 757-3504. Thank you for your support!

Areas of Giving

Unrestricted Donations

Unrestriced donations of any size are distributed at the discretion of the CGTC Foundation. The areas of greatest need are promoting faculty and staff development, enhancing programs and facilities, aiding student emergencies and supporting community outreach efforts.

Melton Palmer Jr. Fund for College Advancement

In honor of Dr. Palmer's 17 years as college president, the CGTC Foundation established the Melton Palmer, Jr. Fund for College Advancement. The funds will be used for the greatest needs of the College.

Michael D. Moye Scholarship for Technical Education

This scholarship fund was established in honor of CGTC's third president, Dr. Michael D. Moye, who has dedicated his career to promoting and exemplifying the values of education in Georgia. Funds designated for this non-merit scholarship will be awarded to students with average scholastic progress who demonstrate academic perseverance and dedication to personal development.

Tim Jenkins Memorial Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund was established in honor of Tim Jenkins, a former CGTC employee who passed away in 2010. Tim played an important role in CGTC's maintenance and facilities division for over 16 years. Funds designated for this scholarship will be awarded to the children of CGTC employees who attend CGTC.

Student Scholarships

The CGTC Foundation will eagerly assist individuals, businesses, and associations in developing guidelines for establishing and managing annual scholarship funds and grants.

Adult Education Programs

Contributions may be designated for application in the Adult Education Programs. Funds support General Education Development (GED) Scholarships, Exceptional Adult Georgia in Literacy Education (EAGLE) recognition, and graduation recognition. AEP donations also cover volunteer expenses, support the education curriculum and promote staff development.

Faculty and Staff Advancement

The mini-grant program was established as part of the CGTC Foundation's ongoing effort to encourage innovation by CGTC's faculty and staff members. The CGTC Foundation provides grants of up to $1,000 to support creative projects that foster innovation and improvement in instruction or provide professional growth opportunities related to student learning.
