Students, personnel, and graduates will be involved in a variety of professional, personal, and leadership development opportunities as well as recreational and sports activities that lead to a sense of collegiate unity and esprit de corps. The community will turn to CGTC as a source of leadership, expertise, and civic involvement. Goal 3. Enhance and enrich the learning process by engaging all students, customers, and CGTC personnel as well as the community in a dynamic collegiate culture. Expected Results Alumni By FY 2014, at least one-hundred (100) CGTC graduates will be actively involved in the CGTC Alumni Association.** Community Participants By FY 2014, over six thousand (6,000) community participants will be served in activities held at a CGTC facility.** Students in Activities By FY 2014, the number of participants in CGTC sponsored student activities, such as clubs, organizations, and competitions, will increase by 100% over the number of participants in FY 2008.** G3. Objective 1. Student Activities Increase student participation in the collegiate environment through professional organizations such as VICA and program-based professional organizations; wellness and recreational activities; inter-collegiate and intramural sports teams; financial literacy seminars; and professional and leadership development activities. G3. Objective 2. Graduate Alumni and Professionals Organizations Initiate development of a web-based alumni network and local professionals' network-groups. G3. Objective 3. Collegiate Digital Culture Create a pervasive collegiate digital culture combining a unified digital identity system, enhanced digital delivery of relevant content, and expanded digital support services. G3. Objective 4. Community and Business Leader Involvement Increase the involvement of community, business, and economic development leaders in the College through the Foundation, Board of Directors, planning and development activities, College search committees, program advisory committees, College events, student discounts, etc. G3. Objective 5. Community and Education Collaborations Collaborate with key civic organizations, social services agencies, educational entities, faith-based organizations, and others to improve and expand the College-and-community learning environment. G3. Objective 6. CGTC as Community Resource Become recognized as a resource for community leadership, civic involvement, economic development, and business/technical expertise in the communities throughout the service area. G3. Objective 7. Community-Based Continuing Education Involve the community and civic groups in planning, designing, and delivering an expanded continuing education curriculum.
