Cooperative Library Agreements

Cooperative Library Agreements allow students of each participating college to access and utilize each other’s college library and borrow materials from their collections. These formal agreements have required policies and procedures to follow.

The CGTC Libraries have established cooperative library agreements with:

     1.     Macon State College Library

     2.     Georgia College & State University Library

     3.     Other TCSG college libraries in Georgia

which permits the mutual borrowing and lending of library materials between these institutions. Under the terms of the agreements CGTC students must present two forms of Central Georgia Tech identification in order to be eligible to borrow materials.

STUDENTS need: 1) a specially issued "Central Georgia Tech Library - Enrollment Verification Card" which must be applied for on a quarter by quarter basis at one of Central Georgia Tech's libraries and 2) a current Central Georgia Tech Student ID with Library barcode affixed to the back.

Central Georgia Tech students are required to abide by all lending policies in place at these other institutions and are responsible for all fines and fees incurred for overdue, lost, or damaged books. Failure to settle outstanding accounts may initiate a local hold on financial aid, grades, and graduation status. To obtain a "Central Georgia Tech Library - Enrollment Verification Card" and apply for a standard Central Georgia Tech Library card (requires Central Georgia Tech Student ID) it is necessary to visit one of the Central Georgia Tech Library locations.
