If I have a disability, how do I apply for admission to Central Georgia Technical College?
Students with disabilities follow the same admission procedures as all other students by completing and submitting the Central Georgia Technical College Application for Admission online.
Are the admission standards modified for students with disabilities?
No, students with disabilities must meet the same admission and program requirements as all other students.
Where can I find information about services for students with disabilities?
Information can be obtained from: the online Student Catalog and Handbook, visiting the CGTC Web site at www.centralgatech.edu, meeting with the Special Populations Disability Coordinator in J-Building, Room-122, or by calling (478) 757-3676.
Does Central Georgia Technical College have special education classes for students with disabilities?
No. CGTC provides reasonable classroom accommodations for students based on their eligibility.
Is there a fee for Disabilities Services?
Students are not charged a fee for Disabilities Services.
How do I request accommodations?
Students wishing to access disability services must self-identify by contacting the Special Populations Disability Services Coordinator
Will I automatically receive services each semester?
No, you must renew your request each semester by making an appointment to meet with the Special Populations Disability Services Coordinator.
How will I know if I'm eligible to receive reasonable accommodations?
After your documentation has been received and reviewed by the Special Populations Disability Services Coordinator, you will be contacted to discuss eligibility. You will be required to make an appointment with the Special Populations Disability Services Coordinator to discuss classroom accommodation every semester in order to receive services and/or accommodations. You will not automatically receive services each semester.
